About the heliport "Heliport Istra"
“Heliport Istra”, the main base of the Aviation Training Center (ATC), is one of the oldest and largest helicopter centers in Europe, on the basis of which private helicopter pilots are trained.
Aviation Training Center “Heliport Istra” (ANO AEC “Heliport Istra”) has trained more than 450 specialists who have received a state-standard civil aviation pilot’s lisence. The training takes place on Robinson R44, R66, Bell-407, Airbus Helicopters (Eurocopter) AS350 B3 | B3E and EC130 T2 helicopters.
In addition, “Heliport Istra” site is the first largest service and sales center for new helicopters, and the official dealer of Robinson Helicopter Company. The ATC has delivered more than half of the entire Robinson helicopter fleet in Russia. The helicopter center has the most developed infrastructure, the largest warehouse in Russia for spare parts for Robinson helicopters is located on its territory, as well as heated hangars allowing to base up to 100 aircrafts.
The company is also a Rolls-Royce, Airbus Helicopters, Robinson Helicopter Company and Lycoming Engines (ASC) Authorized Service Center.
